We've kept printing as simple as possible.
Here are answers to the questions that matter
most before and after placing an order.
01
Preparing your files
Artwork
PDF is generally the safest choice for
print-ready artwork.
For most of our paper products, common
formats such as PDF, JPG, and TIFF work
well. Depending on the product, additional
professional artwork formats may also be
accepted.
Sticker artwork is more flexible. If your
sticker design is not already print-ready,
we may be able to prepare it for production
or contact you if there is a problem.
We recommend artwork at approximately
300 DPI/PPI at the final printed size
whenever possible.
Low-resolution images may appear blurry,
pixelated, or soft when printed. Enlarging
a small image does not create additional
image detail.
If we identify an obvious file issue before
production, we may contact you, but customers
should always review their artwork before
submitting an order.
Bleed is extra artwork that extends past
the final cut edge of a printed product.
It allows backgrounds, photographs, and
colors to reach the edge after trimming
without leaving an unintended white line.
For many Aiya paper products, artwork
intended to print to the edge should
include approximately
0.0625 inches of bleed on each side.
A safe margin keeps important text, logos,
QR codes, and other critical details away
from the trim or cut line.
As a general rule, keep important content
at least 0.125 inches inside the finished edge
unless a product-specific template says
otherwise.
Stickers use a different cutting process,
so sticker safety margins may be smaller
and depend on the design.
For most paper products such as business
cards, flyers, and invitations,
CMYK is preferred.
Artwork submitted in RGB may need to be
converted during production, which can
cause some colors to shift.
Stickers are different. Depending on the
sticker production method, RGB artwork may
actually be preferred.
If you are unsure, upload the highest-quality
original artwork you have rather than
repeatedly converting the file yourself.
Customers are responsible for submitting
accurate artwork and reviewing their
content before ordering.
We may identify obvious technical issues
or help with certain production-related
adjustments, but you should not assume
that spelling, grammar, layout, dates,
phone numbers, or other content will be
corrected automatically.
Some sticker artwork may receive additional
production preparation as part of the
sticker proofing process.
02
What to expect
Printing
Not necessarily.
Screens produce color using light while
commercial printers reproduce color using
inks and physical materials.
Bright RGB colors in particular may look
different once printed. Small variations
between separate print runs can also occur.
These normal commercial-print variations
are different from a substantial production
defect.
Proof availability depends on the product.
Many standard paper products may move into
production using the artwork submitted with
the order unless a proof is specifically
offered or requested.
Our custom stickers normally include a
digital proof so you can review the sticker
shape and cut line before production.
When a proof requires approval, production
generally does not begin until that approval
is completed.
Production time depends on the product,
quantity, finish, artwork readiness, and
production facility.
Many commercial print products have
production times measured in several
business days.
Production turnaround does
not include shipping time.
Artwork issues or proof approval can also
delay the start of production.
03
After you order
Orders
Contact us as quickly as possible if you
need to change or cancel an order.
Because custom print jobs may enter
production shortly after submission, we
cannot guarantee that an order can be
stopped once production has begun.
Once printing or another fulfillment stage
has started, cancellation is generally no
longer possible.
Contact us immediately.
If the order has not entered production,
we may be able to help stop it so corrected
artwork can be submitted.
If the artwork has already been approved
or printed as submitted, customer-supplied
spelling or content errors generally do
not qualify for a free reprint.
If you believe your order contains a
manufacturing defect, incorrect product,
shipping damage, or another fulfillment
problem, contact us within
7 calendar days of delivery.
We may request photographs of the product,
packaging, or shipping label so we can
review the problem.
Qualifying issues may be resolved through
a reprint, replacement, refund, or another
appropriate remedy.
We intend to make repeat ordering as simple
as possible once permanent customer order
storage is available.
Until that system is active, keep a copy
of your original artwork so it can be
submitted again if necessary.
Artwork may be retained for a reasonable
period to manufacture your order, provide
customer support, investigate quality
concerns, process a reprint, or support
repeat ordering.
Your artwork remains yours. Uploading it
does not transfer ownership to Aiya.
